Children in services

Children are welcome to all of our services, and we can happily cope with some background noise (indeed, there are times when you may wish or need to explain something to your child during the service).

In the 11.30am service we often have a children’s talk, as well as a monthly Sunday School during the sermon.

For each service, the audio feed is piped through into the back hall, so if a very small one (baby or toddler) is not able to sit through the sermon, or if you need to take them out for a feed or a change, you are welcome to take them into the other room and still listen in.

CPC Kids (ages 2-7)

Friday evenings (5-7pm), monthly

CPC Kids runs at a leader’s house once a month – see calendar for dates – and is open to young children with their parent(s) or guardian.

We’re looking through the Bible at some key passages and seeing how God is the king, what his enemy is doing and how God makes promises, tracing God’s grace throughout the  stories and the whole Bible storyline.

Sessions include songs and games/activities related to the story of that week, and a meal for the children.

Sunday School (ages 5-11)

Sundays (11.30am) monthly

We run a Sunday School during the 11.30am service once a month – see calendar for dates.  Children join in with the start and end of the service as normal, with Sunday School taking place during the sermon.

At the moment the children are learning about the King, the Snake and the Promise – working through a Bible overview and God’s plan for mankind – with teaching and craft activities.

GAP - God's Amazing Promises (ages 11+)

Sundays (9.30am), fortnightly

We meet fortnightly in term time before the morning service – see calendar for dates – at a leader’s house. We share a (late!) breakfast  or snack and work our way through God’s Amazing Promises through the Bible’s storyline.

At the moment we are working our way through the New City Catechism.

Impact (students & 20s)

Sunday lunchtimes (after 11.30am service), monthly

Impact is a monthly lunch and Bible study at the Manse for students & 20s after the 11.30am service – see calendar for dates.

Our aim is to help students to integrate into the normal life of the church family, equip and encourage them in their discipleship and witness on campus and beyond, and to be ready for walking with Christ wherever he takes them next.
